In addition to offering a comprehensive range of off-the-shelf products, Chemitec customises its systems to meet specific customer requirements, creating bespoke solutions for their evolving needs.

When the customer, an Italian water network management company, needed to convert a wastewater treatment plant’s 4001 Series analyser, they turned to Chemitec. The 4001 Series, a photometric analyser developed by Chemitec, is used in diverse water-monitoring applications, including potable water treatment, food production and pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Our customer had been using the 4001 Series for chlorine analysis but wanted to adapt the system for measuring peracetic acid (PAA). Chemitec’s technical specialists visited the plant, located near Milan, to assess the application requirements, which included incorporating a 16-litre refrigerator for housing and storing reagents.

After a thorough evaluation, Chemitec began the project by constructing a custom rack with an AISI 316 stainless-steel frame and canopy, securely fixed to the floor. We installed a polypropylene support and mounting panel and added a rear-mounted filter at the refrigerator’s height, which contained Chemitec-supplied reagents.

The 4001 Series’ advanced software was then updated to manage PAA measurements, and the system was rigorously tested to ensure optimal performance.

Upon the project’s successful completion, the site manager provided overwhelmingly positive feedback on the 4001 Series conversion. As a result, discussions are now underway to replicate this solution at their other plants.
